Child Found Drowned in Rubbish Hole
(P.A.) WHANGAREI, July 23. • Barrie Keith ■ Maddock, aged 17 months, the son of a settler at L,aiw; Ohia, near Kaitaia. was drowned when he fell into a-rubbish hole filled with rainwater near his parent’s home.
Neighbouring children reported seeing the body lying in 3ft. of water. Artificial respiration was applied unsuccessfully. ;
