CARA HALL’S PLAYING IMPRESSES AT B.M.S.
Exhibiting a wide range of interpretations from the dainty, delicate precision of Mozart’s “Sonata in C” to- the more tumultuous and emotional passages in Brahms’ “Scherzo in E flat” and Chopin’s “Ballade in G Minor”, which was the biggest work from an execution point of view which she undertook and played very finely, Cara Hall, pianist, presented a brilliant programme at the music-room for British Music Society members on Wednesday night. Her recital took the place of the usual recorded group evening and the music-room was filled. The visiting artist was assisted by three Gisborne performers. Lyle; “Sheep May Safely Graze” (Bach), arr. by Busoni), “Sonata in C”, K. 330 (Mozart), “Scherzo in E Flat (Brahms), Miss Cara Hall; “Softly Awakes My Heart” (Saint Saens), “A Carol’’ (Thiman), Miss L.
