CHANGES IN COPRA MARKETING
SUVA, July 21. While Fiji proposes to establish a new copra board the New Guinea Government has decided to dissolve its copra board, which has in the past, as in Fiji, controlled the price and destination of all copra produced in that territory. This is stated by Mr. R. B, Carpenter, managing director of Carpenters, Sydney. Under the new arrangement copra will be shipped under export license to the countries named in the license, but will not be price controlled- The controlling body is the International Emergency Food Control, U.S.A., which names the countries to which all exportable sujjpluses shall go but doe 3 not attempt to regulate the price.
