ARCHERS’ THIRD TROPHY CONTEST

The recent increase in their numbers has resulted in the formation of a special women’s division of the Gisborne Archery Club for the season’s No. 3 trophy competition which opened this week. The men’s division is divided into A and B grades. Consistent scoring by the leading bowman, W. J. Burton, who registered 53 f bulls with -the 60 arrows, secured top place in the round, though E. Soderston and F. J. Jcune were respectively only 22 and 26 points behind. B. Moore made the best B grade score followed by R. Shaw.
