“WATERSIDERS GUILTY OF BREACH”
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 22. The Prime Minister, Mr. P. Fraser, replying to a question by Mr. W. S. Goosman (Oppos., Piako) as to what penalties were being imposed on Auckland watersiders who took illegal action, said the Waterfront Commission could deal with misconduct or refusal to comply with its reasonable directions.
“Members of the Auckland Watersiders’ Union who are refusing reemployment are guilty,” said Mr. Fraser, “of a breach of the strike and lock-out regulations and are liable to penalties.”
