FRANCE’S BIGGEST PLANE LOST
PARIS, July 20. The largest aircraft ever built in France, the Comoran 211, crashed today, killing all five of the crew on its first night. As the aircraft was about to land at. Villacoublay, it suddenly fell to the ground breaking in two. The Comoran 211 had an all-up weight of 40 tons, a wing-span of 143 ft., and four epgines. The Army had ordered 20 of the type as troop transports.
