FLOOD RELIEF

Sir,—The Flood Relief Committee wishes to assure your correspondent and others that the committee is most anxious to grant all relief within its power at the earliest possible date, and that it has no intention of holding funds any longer than is necessary to ensure equitable distribution. At the moment, and during the past three weeks, the field officers assisting the committee are and have been covering the district personally interviewing all affected by the flood, and ascertaining their needs. As soon as all reports are received, the committee will be in a position to give each case the consideration that it merits. Yours faithfully, N. H. BULL Mayor E. R. ELLIOTT Deputy Chairman
