“BOMBING” DISPLAY AT DARTON FIELD

Because of the adverse weather on Sunday only a few spectations were present at Darlon Field for the “bombing” display by the Gisborne Aero Club.

Flying conditions were not the best but a number of pilots took part in the display, dropping small flower “bombs” on a small target from 200 feet. No direct hits were scored, but most of the pilots had at least one near miss.

The club's new Proctor aircraft carried passengers.
