TWO TEAMS SHARE WAIROA RUGBY LEAD
(S.R.) WAIROA, June 21. By defeating Athletic, 9-8, Hurumua on Saturday practically eliminated Athletic from the Wairoa senior Rugby competition, the leaders for the championship now being Nuhaka and Mahia with 12 points each followed by Hurarua 10 and Athletic 8.
During the course of the Celtic-Kiwi junior game, P. Lawton suffered the fracture of a leg. After receiving first aid he was taken to the Wairoa Hospital where he is now reported to be progressing satisfactorily.
