EX-PREMIER OF EAST BENGAL ARRESTED

LONDON. June 4.

The New Delhi radio reports that the East Bengal Government has accused Mr. H. S. Suhrawardy, former Prime Minister of Bengal, of trying to make secret contacts with “enemies of Pakistan.’’ Mr. Suhrawardy, who is a member of the Pakistan Constituent Assembly, was detained on his arrival at Dacca from Calcutta on a goodwill mission. The East Bengal Government alleges that Mr. Suhrawardy’s objects were the overthrow of the State and the inclusion of East Bengal into the Indian Dominion.
