LINDWALL SKITTLES SUSSEX BATSMEN; MORRIS MAKES 152 N.O.
(N .".P.A, —Reuter —Copyright.) (10 a.ra.) LONDON, June 6. The fast bowler, Lindwall, made another Australian two-day victory possible when he mesmerised the Sussex batsmen with his speed and swerve and clean-bowled tour of them. He finished the day with the figures of 19.4 overs, 2 maidens, 34 runs and six wickets.
Loxton also made the ball move in the air, but the recurrence of an injury to his upper thigh prevented his return to the field after lunch. Morris marked each milestone of his innings with individual brilliance. He brought up 50, 100 and 200 with vigorous hooks to the boundary. He hit 21 fours. He is now right back to form, and his 152 not out was made in a little over even time. Bradman’s 43 not out had its uncertain moments.
