EGYPT OFFERED MORE CONTROL IN SUDAN
(11.30 a.m.) CAIRO, June 3.
The Egyptian Senate Foreign Affairs Committee rejected a -draft agreement on the Sudan administration reached by Ahmed Mhnsaba Pasha, the Egyptian Foreign Minister, and Sir Ronald Campbell, British Ambassador. It is understood that should Egypt turn down Britain’s proposals for a greater Egyptian share in the Sudan Government, Sir Robert Howe, Governor-General, and his administration In Khartoum will go ahead with the plans they have formulated.
