GISBORNE PRACTICES

Two women archers practising under the same conditions as men competitors filled eighth and ninth places in the list embracing the two sections at the second practice of the season conducted by the Gisborne Archery Club. They were Mesdames Soderston and Dolman, who respectively recorded scores of 430 and 424, comoared with 500 by the ton bowman. J Burton. The possible score in the double American round consisting of 10 ends each of six arrows is 540, a gold, the equivalent of the bull’s eye in rifle shooting, counting nine.

The newly-equipped range and social rooms presented an animated scene as the largest attendance in many seasons enioyed the various amenities. Scores fellow.
