The Associated Press correspondent in Apia says that Western Samoa made a marked step on the road to self-gov-ernment wha.i it raised its flag alongside that of New Zealand at a ceremony held in Apia on Tuesday. "We feel born again as a nation,” said Tamasesc, one of Western Samoa's two chiefs.
