WOOL PRICES LIKELY TO REMAIN FIRM
(P.A.) WELLINGTON. June 3. Although the wool market was notori ously unstable, there was every prospect that prices would remain firm for some time to come ,said Mr. H. M . Christie, acting chairman of the Wool Disposal Commission, last night. Mr. Christie said the directors of the Joint Organisation would meet in London this month when price levels and the future of the organisation would be among the subjects for discussion. AVERAGE £4l/15/11 BALE (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 3. The average price per lb of wool sold at the third Christchurch sale on April 5 was 30.87 d. The average price per bale was £4l 15s 11.30 d. The net weight was 8,836,5101 b and the total number of bales sold was 27,199.
