TEACHER HAS 67 PUPILS
A report that 67 pupils at the Elstow School, near Te Aroha. were being taught by only one teacher, the headmaster, caused dissatisfaction at a meeting of householders. It was decided to urge the Auckland Education Board to appoint an assistant mistress at the school. Some parents said that unless this were done they would keep their younger children at home.
