OTHER MEN MISSING
INQUIRIES BY POLICE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 28. Two more men were reported yesterday as missing, 'one from Masterton and one from Wanganui, while there is still no news of George William Hill, aged 36, plumber of Nelson, who was last seen wnen ne left home on the evening of December 19. Hill left his home to do a job for the nightwatchman of Nelson Breweries, who lives only a short distance away. It is believed that he went there in a taxi, and that is the last that has been seen of him
A watch was being kept for Hill by the police of both islands, said the superintendent of the Wellington police. Mr. J Dempsey, yesterday. A 55-year-old resident of Wilson street, Wanganui. William Chaplin, was stated by the police yesterday to have been missing from his home since Sunday evening last. He is sft. 6in. in height, of strong build and florid complexion. A Press Association message states that a porter at the Greytown railway station. William Knox Black, aged 27, married, with five children, has been missing from his home for a week. He was last seen at 7 p.m. on April 21.
