FULL PRICE WANTED
DAIRY PRODUCE PAYMENTS LUMP PAYOUT OPPOSED (P.A.) WHANGAREI, April 27. The dairy industry was utterly opposed to the continuation of lump sum payments, said the chairman of the New Zealand Dairy Board, Mr. Hale at the annual conference of the north ward at Whangarci yesterday, “What wa want to see,” he added, “is that full price received in London for our produce is credited to our industry account. That and nothing less will be acceptable to the industry.” Mr. Hale said the Dairy Board was handicapped by the failure of the Government to recognise the necessity for a larger board to deal with the affairs of the industry. The board decided to instruct the dairy conference and to issue for publication monthly production or payout figures
