STATE PURCHASE URGED (F.A.) WELLINGTON, April 26. It is with confidence that the New Zealand Federation of Labour looks forward to the nationalisation of the coal industry, and there is now no logical reason why the nationalisation of transport should not be placed on the agenda, says the annual report of federation to be presented at the annual meeting ill Dunedin tomorrow. The report claims that the coordination of road, rail, air and sea transport is an immediate step, and says that the trade unions must see to it that worker representation is made operative to this end.
