WOOL SALES ROSTER ANNOUNCED 1948-49 SEASON AUCTIONS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, April 27. The roster of New Zealand auction sales of growers’ greasy wool for the 1948-49 season as fixed by the. Wool Disposal Commission and the dates of the sales announced by the commission are as follows: — November 22.—Auckland. November 26, 29. —Napier. December 3.—Wanganui. December 7. —Wellington. December 15.—Christchurch. December 20. —Dunedin. January 7.—lnvercargill. January 11.—Timaru. January 18, 21.—Auckland. January 25, 28.—Napier. February 1. —Wanganui. February 5, 7.—Wellington. February 16. —Christchurch. February 21. —Dunedin. lebruary 25.—Invercargill. March 7.—Auckland. 1,1, rch 11. —Wanganui. Marcn 15, 18.—Napier. ’March 23. —Wellington. March 31.—Christchurch. April 4—Timaru. April B.—lnvercargill. April 13.—Dunedin. April 28.—Auckland. May 2, 5. —Napier. ATay 9.—Wanganui. May 13—Wellington. May 18.—Christchurch. May 23.—Dunedin. The roster of crutching sales for the 1948-49 period is as follows: August 4.—Wellington, August 6. —Wanganui. August 9.—Auckland. August 12. — Napier. August 18.—Christchurch. August 20. —Timaru. August 23.—Dunedin. August 25.—Invercargill. Commenting on the roster of auction sales, the chairman of the Wool Disposal Commission, Mr. G- A. Duncan, said it had been recommended by the auction sales advisory committee, which comprised representatives of the wool buyers and wool brokers’ associations, the Wool Board and the Wool Disposal Commission and it had been approved by the Minister of Marketing, Mr. E. L. Cullen. The quantities of wool to be offered at the individual sales would be determined after consultation with the interested parties prior to the commencement of each round of sales. “The commission appreciates the full co-operation which has been forthcoming from the interested parties in reconciling the needs of the various wool selling centres on *he most practicable basis.” said Mr. Duncan.
