INCREASE IN NAVY
PEACE-TIME STRENGTH LONDON, April 23. In nine to 18 months’ time the Navy will be back on a proper peace-time basis ready for any call, said Captain C. Storey, chief of staff to the Commander-in-Chief, Plymouth, speaking at Exeter. The Navy of the near future, he said, would be a good deal larger than in 1938-39.
