The commission will Hold a public inquiry regarding the proposed Bay of Plenty catchment district. MR. J. R. HAIR presided at Tuesday’s monthly meeting of the P.B. Catchment Board, at which were also present Messrs. R- Graham, D. W. W. Williams, P. Ngata, IT. D. Chamberlain. E. A. Madden. E. W. McEnnis. C. L. Cox, G. Newman. TI. J. S. Tombleson, E. M. Monckton, R. C. Murphy, J. H. Lougher, and H. M. White. Leave of absence was granted to Mr. P. A. M Rivers MR. C. WALKER, assistant fields superintendent to the Department of Agriculture. Palmerston North, Mr. S. Freeman, Dominion organising secretary of tlie Young Farmers’ Club movement, Wellington, and Mr. D. McLaughlan, Wellington council chairman. visited Gisborne for the annual meeting last evening of the GisborneEast Coast Y’oung Farmers’ district committee.
