IN ONE ROUND
MILLS DEFEATS SHAW DEVASTATING PUNCHING LONDON, April 20. Freddie Mills, the British and European light heavyweight champion, in one round of devastating punching beat Ken Shaw, the Scottish heavyweight champion, at Harringay. The referee stopped the fight at the end of the first round, when Shaw's lip was badly cut. Mills has thus earned the right to fight Bruce Woodcock for the British heavyweight title.
