MEMORIAL TO JEWS
WARSAW GHETTO SITE WARSAW, April 19. Jewish delegates from 20 nations marched to the centre of the ruined Warsaw ghetto, where a memorial was unveiled to 6,000,000 Jews who perished during the war. The memorial is built of 200 tons of granite and bronze. The Germans intended to use the granite to erect a triumphal Nazi arch. The memorial depicts the fighters of the ghetto rising in 1943.
