AMERICAN AID LARGEST IN EUROPE SECRET ALLOCATIONS (11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 19. Long secret figures on allotments under the • Government’s European recovery programme, }vhich were submitted to the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee today by Mr. Paul G. Hoffman, Economic Aid Administrator, showed that Britain is to get 1,324,300,000 dollars, the largest amount to be allotted from the 5,300,000,000 dollar plan. The next largest allotments scheduled are: 1,130,800,000 dollars to France, 703,600.000 to Italy, 599,600,000 to the Netherlands, 437.400,000 to the United States and British zone of Western Germany. The proposal says it is planned to spend 957,200,000 dollars for grain, 511,300,000 for cotton, 379,700,000 for petroleum and 110,200.000 for tobacco.
