Houses For Country Ex-Servicemen
“This meeting is of the opinion that nn effort should bo made to induce building contractors to build a greater pioportion of houses in the country than is being done at present, even to the point of arranging for priority of supplies for country work.” Such was a motion passed by ex-servicemen awaiting _ land settlement at an R.S.A. meeting in Hastings Mr S G Jones president of the Hastings branch, said that tlie resolution was purely from the point of those awaiting settlement and was not intended to start any dispute between town and country ex-ser-vicemen.—-P.A.
