STRONGER DEFENCES
NORWEGIAN APPROVAL (11 a.m.) OSLO, March 16. The Norwegian Parliament has approved the proposal by the Prime Minister, M. Ainar Gerhardsen, to spend £5,000,000 to strengthen Norway's military and civil defences Communists opposed the proposal.
PRINCESS MARGARET ILL (11 a.m.) LONDON, March 16. Soon after arriving at Glasgow today after an all-night journey from London, Princess Margaret became indisoosed. Two doctors were called to her hotel. Her morning engagements were cancelled. Later,' she received the freedom of Glasgow on behalf of the Highland Light Infantry of which she is colonel-in-chief. Thirty thousand people saw the ceremony.
