AGAIN RICHEST RACE V.R.C. RAISES STAKES (10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, MarchlG. The 1948 Melbourne Cup will be worth £12,500 with a gold cup valued at £3OO, making it again the richest in Australia and New Zealand.
