TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIPS
The University of New Zealand has received advice of the establishment of two new types of fellowship which will assist young New Zealanders of distinction to proceed overseas for further study. The Nuffield Foundation has set up a special committee in New Zealand on the lines of the committee which deals with Nuffield Medical Travelling Fellowships. That committee will cooperate with the University of New Zealand in nominating to the Nuffield foundation one or more travelling fellows in the natural sciences or in the humanities. The Institute of International Education, New York, has also offered awards to two selected scholars from New Zealand who would proceed to Yale or other American university of standing to take the final year of Bachelors’ degrees commenced in New Zealand.
