WOMEN’S BOWLS

CENTRE TITLE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS TWO-DAY TOURNEY Representatives of the Riverside (Gisborne), Port Ahuriri (Napier), Heretaunga (Hastings) and Otane clubs are to contend the annual pairs championship of the East Coast Women’s Bowling Centre being played at the Kahutia green tomorrow and on Wednesday. Play is to commence at 9.30 a.m. daily. Mr. E. E. Somervell, of the Poverty Bay Club, who is the president of the Gisborne-East Coast centre, is to officiate as umpire. Mrs. C. Mackay, secretary of the Riverside club and vice-president of the women’s bowling centre, is the tournament secretary. The draw for play follows: FIRST DAY First Round. —Griffin (Otane), a bye; Spence (Heretaunga) v. Watters (Heretaunga); Williams (Riverside) v. Sangwell (Riverside); Logan (Port Ahuriri) v.
