COMMUNISTS REPLY
NATIONAL PARTY ATTACK ip A.) WELLINGTON, March 15. The readiness of the National Party to support measures for the suppression of Communism and Communists was described by the Wellington district committee of the Communist Party in a statement as "a tearing away of the mask of democracy behind which attacks on authentic liberties are proceeding ” The statement expresses confidence that the trade union movement and the people would resist to the utmost any attack from whatever quarter on the fundamental political right to support and belong to any party of their choosing.
