REFUSAL OF WORK
WATERSIDERS 1 PENALTY (P.A.) -AUCKLAND, March 11. Some 520 watersiders— a third of the Auckland port’s effective working strength—are now on penalty for refusing work on the vessel Mountpark. Waterfront officials estimate that the average loss of wages to the watersiders must be something more than 60 per cent, of the normal figure, with overtime.
