N.Z. TEAM CHOSEN
GAMES SEVEN CONTESTANTS EXECUTIVE’S DECISION (P.A.) WELLINGTON. March 10. New Zealand will be represent-d by a team of seven at the Olympic Games in London in August of this year. This was decided after consideration of the nominations by the executive of the New Zealand Olympic Games Association. As the number exceeds six, the appointment of D. T. V, oodfield (Wellington) as manager was confirmed. Those chosen were:— Athletics.—D. M. Harris, 830 metres, 400 metres; J. M. Holland (Auckland), 400 metres hurdles; W. H. Nelson (Otago), 10,000 metres. 5000 metres. Boxing.—R. Goslin (Wellington) N_w Zealand bantamweight champion. Cycling.—T. R. Carter (Nelson), New Zealand road champion. Swimming'. Miss Ngaire Lane (Otago), subject to a satisfactory assurance regarding a chaperone by the New Zealand Swimming Association. Weight-lifting— C. Crowe (Wanganui).
