MORRINSVILLE SALE COWS KEENLY SOUGHT Many breeding ewes, including the advertised entry from Tokomaru Bay, were offered to a large bench of buyers at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday and prices for all descriptions were fully up to recent quotations except top five-year-old ewes, which showed an increase. The entry of fat sheep was small and late rates were maintained Store lambs came forward in medium numbers and met a good demand at late rates. Fat cows and heifers made very firm values and boner and store cows sold freely at prices in advance of scheduled rates. Prices: — Sheep.—Fat wethers, 40s; fat hoggets, 34s to 375; fat lambs, 38s to 40s: fat ewes. 255; good b.f. lambs, 25s to 27s Gd; medium b.f. lambs, 22s to 23s fid: medium w.f. lambs, 18s to 20s; small w.f. lambs, 15s to 17s; good 2-th. ewes. 4fis to 48s 9d; medium, 42s to 445; small, ■ 32s to 38s; small 4-th. ewes, to 345: .good 5-year-old ewes, 34s to 36s 9d: medium, 30s to 325; 5 and 6-year ewes, 25s to 275; one-shear Southdown rams, 7 gns. to 10 gns.; others, 4 to 6 gns.
