AID FOR BRITAIN SURENDER OF COUPONS Both meat and butter coupon surrenders and fat deposited at Gisborne were well up to previous figures last week although the approach of Chrisfmas places an extra burden on housewives in providing extra food. Throughout the district 263 butter coupons, equal to 13141 bof butter and 8968 meat coupons, the equivalent of £149 2s 8d of meat in cash value, were surrendered to assist in the Food for Britain appeal.
