BRITISH EMIGRANTS
QUADRUPLED ON 1938
LONDON, Dec. 14.
The latest Board of Trade figures show that in the first nine months of this year 88,351 people emigrated from Britain compared with 22,870 in the corresponding period of 1938. Of these, 19,057 went to South Africa, 14.705 to Canada, 8096 to Australia, and 4584 to New Zealand.
