Goods Services Charges The previous general increases of 5 per cent and 3 per cent in city, borough and town schedules have been cancelled by the Goods Services Charges Tribunal sitting in Wellington and an increase of 10 per cent with a further increase of two and a half per cent in area schedules has been granted.—P.A. Nineteenth Year as Chairman At the annual meeting, following the monthly meeting of the Waikohu County Council at Te Karaka yesterday, Mr A. A. Fraser was returned unopposed as chairman for the nineteenth consecutive year. Several councillors spoke in appreciative terms of Mr Fraser’s service as chairman, and considered that they were fortunate in having him still in that position as the next three years might bring some imnortant developments in local body affairs.
