EX-MINER SELECTED
DESERT ISLE FILM LEAD LONDON, Nov. 28. From among 4000 applicants, exminer Donald Houston has been selected to play opposite Jean Semmons as the handsome young desert island hero of the film, “Blue Lagoon”. He will leave immediately for Fiji, where the film is to be made. Miss Semmons and the film’s-director, Frank LaUnder, will reach Australia soon on their way to Fiji. Houston, who is 23, was the last applicant to undergo a screen test. Tall handsome, he went on the stage when 16, but joined the R.A.F. during_ the war and subsequently became a miner.
