FAT SHEEP DEMAND
MORRINSVILLE SALE OTHER RATES ON PAR Large numbers of fat sheep offering at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday met with a keen demand and sold at rates in advance of last week’s quotations. There was no change in values for store sheep. Rates were firm for a smaller entry of fat cows. A medium yarding of boner and store cows sold at rates on a par with recent sales. Prices: — Sheep.—Prime fat woolley hoggets, 50s to 525; medium prime, 45s to 495; prime shorn wethers. 39s 9d to 42s 9d; lighter. 37s to 38s 9d; fat ewes. 25s to 25s 6d; store 2-th. wethers, 34s to 35s 6d; smaller. 32s 6d to 33s 6d. Cattle.—Medium weight young Jersey cows. £8 to £9 7s 6d; lighter £7 to £7 16s; boner cows, £5 to £6 10s; stores, £3 15s to £4 10s; bulls, £4 2s 6d to £6 7s 6d. _
