WIN AT ROSEHILL
FORMER NZ. GELDING (10 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 15. The former New Zealand horse Piccolo, bought in New Zealand for 1 £I2OO, had his first success in Australia when he won the December Handicap at Rosehill by two lengths. He settled down in second place, moved easily to the front at six furlongs and never looked like being headed. His owner. Mr. F. W. Stevens, announced after the race that Piccolo is up for sale at 4000 guineas or better. The gelding is considered a likely prospect for the Villiers Stakes. Result:— : DECEMBER HANDICAP, 11 miles.— PICCOLO, 7.8 (Doon), 1; CAPE NEDDICK, 7.13 (Cook), 2; BUZZ OFF, 6.9 (Pearse), 3. Twelce started. Two lengths; two lengths. Time, 2.7. AUCKLAND~WEIGHTS (P.A.)
