(9 a.m.) LONDON, Nov. 12. Eight airmen were killed and one is missing after a Royal Air Force Hornet aircraft and a Lancaster bomber collided in mid-air over the battle-training area at Stanford. Two men baled out after the crash. One disappeared behind the treetops before his parachute opened. The bomber's pilot landed safely with superficial injuries.
