300 STUDENT TEACHERS
TRAINING AT ARDMORE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Nov. 13
About 300 student teachers initially will be trained at the Ardmore Air Force camp, near Auckland, which it is proposed to use a sa temporary teachers’ training college, said the chairman of the Auckland Education Board, Mr. G. K. Hamilton.
It was hoped, he added, that the new college would be ready for use early in the New Yearv It would be mainly a residential colmge.
“I cannot overestimate the importance of this step,” said Mr. Hamilton, who referred to the shortage of teachers.
