POLICE STOP DANCING
CHINESE AUSTERITY FUNCTIONS IN PEKING PEKING, Sept. 28Armed Chinese police yesterday broke up dancing at a wedding breakfast of a Chinese general just back from the battlefront and at a private ball held by foreigners at which half the guests were Americans, British or French of diplomatic status. The police said they were enforcing the new Government austerity regulations forbidding public dancing. Both parties were held at a Britishowned hotel.
