TILL JANUARY 31 PRESIDENT’S PROPOSAL ASSISTING EUROPE (10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 29. A high-ranking White House official declared that President Truman 1 , at a confere- today., will ask Republican and Democrat leaders of the Senate and House of Representatives to agree to a plan under which between 500,000.000 and 750,000,000 dollars will be furnished by Federal agencies, notably the Export and Import Bank and Commodity Credit Corporation to provide stop-gap financial aid to Europe between now and the end of January. The official said mat if an agreement should be reached on this proposal, a special session of Congress would not be necessary. If, however, no such agreement was reached, the question of calling a special session would be “wide open.” U.S. AID TO GREECE (10 a.m.) ATHENS, Sept. 29. Members of the United States aid mission to Greece told the Premier during the week-end discussions that no more grants of money could be made to Greece in 1947 without a special act of Congress. ,
