SOUTHERN RHODESIA BARTER FOR DOLLARS LONDON. Sept. 19. The vice-chairman of the Nuffield Corporation, Sir Miles Thomas, who today accepted an invitation to lead a production planning commission to Southern Rhodesia, said the colony was so rich in resources that there was a danger of "indigestion. ’ Southern Rhodesia s natural resources Included large deposits of chrome, copper asbestos, mica and other valuable minerals needed by America, and thus unable as “dollar barter.” Coal was being mined at under 10/at tho nit head.
