“MADE IN N.Z.”
U.S. CUSTOMS DEMAND (P.R.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 19. “Had the Minister of Customs, Mr. W Nash, seen a cabled report that United States customs officers had decided (hat Made in N.Z.’ is not sufficient and demand that an importer spend 6000 dollars in changing this to ‘Made in New Zealand?’ ” asked Mr. R. Walls (Govt. — Dunedin North) in the House of Representatives this morning. Mr. Walls, who was asking his first question of the session, asked whether the Minister would investigate to see if the report was accurate and, if so, \ ould he arrange on a reciprocal basis that all imports from that country lie labelled “Made in the United Slates of America’’ in full.
