DE VALERA VISITS LONDON
(10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 19. The Prime Minister of Eire, Mr. E. De Valera, v/ho has arrived in London by air for talks with the British Government, said the purpose of this preliminary meeting was to explore the situation and ascertain how the two countries could overcome the present difficulties.
The Prime Minister. Mr. C. R. Attlee, and Mr. De Valera at a meeting today agreed that immediate arrangements should be made for trade talks at an official level between the two countries.
, Mr. De Valera will leave for Paris tbmorrow to attend a meeting on Monday of the Committee of Co-operation on the Marshall Plan.
