American Farm Values
American farm property prices ha\e increased 92 per cent above ’930-39 values, and, ns a result of President Truman's ‘‘deep concern” over the situation the Agricultural Department called a conference of leading agencies and agricultural leaders. Piesident Truman in his letter to the Secretary of Agriculture pointed out that in 24 States land prices exceeded the inflationary peak of 1920. and many properties were changing hands at values which could not be sustained by the probable long-term earnings of the properties.
