While hot-house tomatoes are making their first appearance on the Wellington market, the Gisborne climate has been producing out-of-door varieties in a sheltered position at Awapuni. Mr. K. Baillie, who lives near the Matawhero railway station, has been picking tomatoes for a fortnight.
