BUY FROM W.A.R.B. NON-STOP COASTWISE RUN Built during the war for the use of the United States Navy in towing operations in the Auckland Harbour, and purchased from the War Assets Realisation Board by Messrs. Dudley and Henderson, Gisborne a solidly-built craft made its appearance in the Gisborne harbour last week after a 44hours non-stop journey from the northern port. The trip was made at a slow speed lor part of the distance, owing to a vicious southerly which would have made rapid progress the reverse of comfortable. The ship proved herself a good sea-boat, and rode a heavy'swell and choppy short seas in excellent style, her ’high-built bows and heavy rolling bands throwing off the solid water and permitting only spray to reach the well-built deck-house. She is m practically new condition, and her 120-h.p. Diesel engine has had only m untennnee tunning. Iler burden is 16 tons, with a draught of 6ft., a length of 45ft.. and a beam of 14ft. The craft w’ll t used for trawling from the Gisborne harbour, and though she will not normally remain at sea she has adequate cabin and emergency accommodation for a crew of four. Messrs.
